- Where can the PV system be installed?
According to the Development Program for Photovoltaic Systems of the Ministry of Development ( Εέ/1079/Β/04.06.2009 ) it is possible to install Photovoltaic Systems with a total power of up to 10kW on roofs and roofs of houses and apartment buildings, including roofs, verandas, facades and the shades of the buildings. The program is implemented throughout Greece.
- Who can install a PV system?
In the Photovoltaic systems program, individuals and very small businesses have the right to join, as long as they own the space where the PV system will be installed.
In the case of apartment buildings, the installation of a single Photovoltaic system in the common area of the building is allowed.
Only the owners of the horizontal properties represented by the manager have the right to join the program in this case. A necessary condition is to have a written agreement of all co-owners of the building.
- A condition for the inclusion of a photovoltaic system in the Program is:
- the existence of an active electricity consumption connection in the name of the photovoltaic owner in the building where the system is installed.
- Part of the thermal needs for hot water of the property, as long as it is used for a residence, must be covered by the use of renewable energy sources, such as indicatively solar thermal, solar water heaters.
